Ancient Egyptian Alphabet

Hieroglyphs representing one consonant was used in Ancient Egypt as a phonetic complement (additional glyphs to confirm the phonetic elements of speech, which also has double or triple consonants in it). These characters used for writing foreign names. In fact they can be considered a kind of Egyptian alphabet. For writing non-Egyptian names Egyptians used special characters, for example, to transfer the sound O, used V4 hieroglyph (Gardiner's code) - and for sound L E23 hieroglyph (Gardiner's code) - .
The practice of writing Egyptian hieroglyphs can be mastered with the help of the hieroglyphic editor.
